The Hero’s Day

Captain Kirk goes red alert
While photon missiles fire
Scarring space to win the race
And light the funeral pyre

Atoms burst in evil’s thirst
For power beyond men’s reach
Greed and lust a lesson they must
To those who use them teach

Bullets seek to smash the meek
From barrel’s depth they rain
The hero runs while dodging guns
Stepping sadly among the slain

The stars retreat in techno beat
The Earth lets out a cry
And sheds a tear as death draws near
It is the hero’s day to die
